Browser Compatibility

Please Note: Styles are automatically disabled on IE5 for both Apple MAC and PC. Users can still access all areas of the site, and all content is available and can be easily accessed by the user. The reason that styling has been disabled is due to poor support by these browsers for the latest in CSS and Web Standards. - IE7 - Internet Explorer 7 is going to be sent out automatically to XP users as a priority Windows Update upon its launch in the next few months (2006). There are currently 2% of internet users using the beta version of the browser pre-launch, and numbers are growing fast.
We believe in maximum support for emerging web technologies that improve user experience, rather than support for out-of-date technologies with poor support for Web Standards and the latest in Best Practice. Although, as mentioned above, we ensure that all content is available on all browsers that statistics show to be in use. Numbers using IE5 are falling rapidly, numbers using Firefox and IE7 are growing ...
Flash / Javascript
This site does use Flash (version 7) and Javascript. If a user chooses not to install Flash, or is unable to, the site will function perfectly normally without any usability or functionality issues. Indeed, the same principle is true if a user accesses the site with Javascript disabled (currently, 10% of users browse with Javascript disabled).

Accessibility
The site has a 'Plain Text' and 'Text Enlargement' feature. The site has also been designed and developed for use with screen readers and other accessibility technologies.
The site uses semantically correct mark-up (the correct tag for the correct purpose) and is structured in a way that makes it fast to load, keeps form and function separate, can be easily understood and catagorised by Search Engines and is – therefore – highly accessible.
